Steve Dong, MD
Dr. Steve N. Dong is a board-certified urologist and fellowship-trained robotic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and advanced endourologic procedures. He currently practices in San Bernardino, California, where he also serves as Director of Robotic Surgery at Saint Bernardine Medical Center.
Dr. Dong completed his undergraduate training at Johns Hopkins University with departmental honors before earning his medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He completed general surgery and urology residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in Advanced Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotic Surgery at the University of Southern California.
With extensive operative experience and over 3,700 urologic cases during residency alone, Dr. Dong performs complex robotic-assisted procedures including radical prostatectomy, partial and radical nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, radical cystectomy, and reconstructive surgery for benign and malignant urologic conditions. His expertise spans oncologic and minimally invasive surgery, combining technical precision with evidence-based outcomes.
Dr. Dong is actively involved in academic urology and has authored peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presented nationally at major urologic meetings. He remains committed to advancing robotic and minimally invasive techniques to improve patient recovery and long-term outcomes.
