Overview And Experience

Chung Yam, PA-C, is originally from Hong Kong, grew up in Okinawa, Japan, then immigrated to the United States in 1979.  He attended California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California for his undergraduate degree in Health Science during which time he also completed the Charles R. Drew Postgraduate Medical School – Medex, Physician Assistant program.  Chung started his career in a private family practice in Southern California then after moved to Northern California over 25 years ago. He has practiced in various hospital-based settings which included family practice, occupational medicine, urgent care, anticoagulation specialty, among others, and most recently in Urology for the past 10 years.

Chung has two adult children and enjoys spending time with his wife and family, visiting with friends, traveling, being outdoors, flyfishing, playing basketball and attempts to golf. He is also active in serving his local church in various capacities.
